Turkish Airlines operates special flights (repatriation) to Morocco
A few days ago, Turkey announced the start of evacuating its nationals stranded in Morocco, as well as Moroccans residing abroad and foreigners who were stranded in the Kingdom due to the latter’s closure of its air borders.
The Turkish embassy said, in a statement, that the Turkish authorities will organize exceptional flights for stranded people in Morocco during the month of January, specifying 9 flights on Turkish airlines.
The statement indicated that these flights will depart from Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca, on the dates of January 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26, 28 and 30.
The Turkish embassy has set a set of conditions for those wishing to take advantage of these trips, including; Presenting the vaccination passport or a document proving that vaccination has been received at least 14 days before the date of travel, or a negative test for corona detection (PCR) that does not exceed 72 hours, or a rapid test before entering Turkey.
The Moroccan authorities had decided to extend the decision to suspend all air and sea flights to and from the Kingdom until January 31, 2022, “in the framework of the measures taken to preserve the gains that Morocco has accumulated in the field of managing the “Covid-19” pandemic and protecting the health of citizens.
