Shanghai Airlines opens a flight between Marseille and Casablanca
Shanghai Airlines is arriving in Africa with a new route connecting Marseille to Casablanca-Mohamed V. The Chinese company wants to exploit its route that connects its base in Shanghai Pudong and Marseille-Provence, to offer a connection to the famous Moroccan destination.
Shanghai Airlines now flies Marseille (MRS) – Casablanca (CMN) three times a week non-stop. The Chinese company is thus inaugurating its first connection in Africa with weekly flights operated by three-class Boeing 787-9, with a total number of seats for 285 passengers including four seats in First Class and 26 seats in Business Class.
This service will be officially launched on January 19, 2025. On this route, Shanghai Airlines will compete with Royal Air Maroc, which has been present on this route for several years, knowing that it has announced its intention to take its flights to Beijing-Daxing (PKX).
