The Royal Air Maroc airline is relaunching a daily flight between Casablanca and Montreal on Friday, a line suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Since October 29, 2021, the Moroccan national airline flies every day between its base in Casablanca-Mohammed V and Montreal-Pierre Elliot Trudeau airport, in a Boeing 797-9 that can accommodate 26 passengers in Business class and 276 in Economy. Departures are scheduled in November at 5:20 p.m. to arrive at 8:50 p.m., return flights leaving Canada at 8:35 p.m. to land the next day at 9 a.m. (average flight time 6 hours).

Royal Air Maroc is in competition with Air Canada on this route, suspended on August 29.

The link between Casablanca and Montreal is a strategic route for the Oneworld alliance company, given the strong Moroccan community residing in Canada, but also the fact that Casablanca constitutes an important hub for a large part of the moving African community. to the rest of the continent. “The resumption of flights between the two destinations was therefore a highly anticipated event that will meet strong demand,” RAM said in its press release.
