Royal Air Maroc announces new service between Rabat and Laayoune
Royal Air Maroc is expanding its domestic network with the introduction of a new air route that promises to connect Morocco’s political capital, Rabat, with Laayoune, a city of strategic and cultural importance in Western Sahara.
The inaugural flight is scheduled for July 10, and will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays. Travelers will depart from Rabat-Salé airport at 13:15 and arrive in Laayoune at 15:10.
This strategic decision by Royal Air Maroc is part of a broader desire to promote tourism in less-explored regions of Morocco, offering a new perspective on the country’s diversity and cultural richness. Laayoune, in particular, offers a unique blend of history, culture and natural landscapes, from sand dunes to rocky expanses, which are less known to traditional tourist circuits.
