Royal Air Maroc resumes flights to Miami from Casablanca

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has announced the resumption of the Casablanca-Miami air link, suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The reopening of the route to Boston, meanwhile, is expected before the end of the year.

Launched around three years ago, this line officially resumed nine days ago, after months of suspension. RAM will provide a weekly flight between its Casablanca-Mohammed V base and Miami airport.

The flights are now served by a Boeing 787-8 which can carry 276 passengers in two classes, including eighteen passengers in Business class. The departure flight is every Sunday at 3:30 p.m. while the return flight leaves the airport at 10:25 p.m. The duration of the flight is estimated at four hours and fifty five minutes.

According to Abdelhamid Addou, the CEO of RAM, had confirmed the resumption of flights to Miami noting that the national company was considering other plans for North America. The first manager of the Moroccan company has confirmed that his airline is considering a return to Boston Logan airport in 2023.

As a reminder, the air carrier of the Moroccan kingdom has already resumed its flights to Montreal and normally serves Washington, the company hoping for a return to normal to be able to open new air routes.
