Emirates is back on the Dubai-Casablanca air route

Emirates Airlines is relaunching its service between Dubai and Casablanca, restoring its entire network in Africa after route suspensions linked to the Covid-19 pandemic.

While Morocco has reopened its borders to regular international flights, the Emirati company announces for Tuesday February 8 the return of flights between its base in Dubai and Casablanca-Mohammed V airport, with a daily rotation operated by Boeing 777-300ER . Departures are scheduled at 7:30 a.m. to arrive at 1:15 p.m., return flights leaving Morocco at 3:05 p.m. to land the next day at 1:30 a.m.

Emirates is in direct competition on this axis with Royal Air Maroc, which inaugurated it in December, and indirectly with Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways, Gulf Air and Saudia, plus Kuwait Airways from next June.

This return to Morocco means for Emirates the restoration of its network in Africa to 2019 levels, with 21 cities served; “customers traveling to and from Casablanca can travel safely on Emirates to Dubai and enjoy a range of connections to Europe, the Middle East and the GCC, the Americas and West Asia,” underlines a press release.
